Miracles and Science

Miracles and Science:
How Rational People Can Believe in Supernatural Events
What exactly are miracles and why do they matter? Does a miracle require a belief in a higher power, or is it simply a matter of chance that can neither be confirmed nor denied by science? How does the Vatican even determine that a miracle has occurred?

Theology on Tap is delighted to host astrophysicist and priest Father John Kartje, PhD, this May for a talk entitled, “Miracles and Science: How Rational People Can Believe in Supernatural Events”. Fr. Kartje is the President and Rector of the University of St. Mary of the Lake. You are invited to join Father Kartje and young adults from across the Archdiocese of Chicago at the Joy District for thought provoking conversation that will be miraculously logical!

Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30 PM – 9:30 PM
